Boston Globe reported today that Julianne Hough, the champion of “Dancing With Stars” has been hospitalised due to endometriosis. Endometriosis which affects about 5-10% of women in their reproductive age is a condition in which tissue from the uterus lining grows outside the uterus, causing painful cysts. It is reported that Julianne will undergo surgery.
Julianne was born on July20, 1988 in Orem, Utah. She comes from a family of dancers; her brother Derek Hough is also a professional dance while her parents met when they joined a ballroom dancing team in college at Idaho. In 2008, she recorded an album “Julianne Hough” which reached the number one spot in the US Country chart.
She was declared the winner of “Dancing With Stars” twice for Season 4 and Season 5 in 2007. In the current season, she is paired off with Cody Linely. I would to wish Julianne a fast recovery and hope to see her on the dance floor. We would find out later whether her illness will affect her chances of becoming a champion of “Dancing With Stars” a third time.
